I have been working in a selection of different media since 1980. At the present time I am interested in the complimentary use of two materials that are greatly distanced in their workability and traditionally are not often worked together - porcelain and silver. These are two of the finest materials available to the crafts person and both enhance each other's features. Both these materials have a preciousness that makes them sensuous to work with and to look at. I am keen to envelop one with the other, often working with the materials in a contextual manner, which allows my design process to flow through the body of work, yet allow both materials their own dominance within the composition.
